You no longer need to decide on one nail polish shade this Summer — with Madam Glam's chameleon gels, you can let your mood decide the colour for you. I've seen multiple videos of people sticking their nails under a tap to watch it magically change colour, but always wondered if it actually works, because frankly it always looked too good to be true. So I had to try it for myself. Let me tell you right away: it is as fun and impressive as it looks!

Madam Glam promises high opacity with these chameleon gels, and I'd have to agree they deliver. A lot of gel polishes are prone to shrinking and can take multiple coats to achieve the desire shade. This gel collection is some of the easiest glitter polish I've ever applied. You won't need the sponge trick here! Each polish can be applied in one or two coats depending on your desired shade. The gels need to be cured under an LED lamp (30 seconds) or a UV lamp (two minutes). Since it is a gel polish, you will need a bonder, base coat, top coat, chameleon gel colour, and LED or UV lamp to do this mani at home.

The wear is impressive, provided you won't continually stick your hands under water and lift the polish. I'll warn you now, you might become obsessed with washing your hands for this very reason. The polishes work due to the thermo-reactive micro capsules in the gel polish, which react to the slightest temperature change, resulting in the shade of colour change. In addition, all Madam Glam polishes are vegan and 5-free.

There are so many colour combos to choose from, you'll be spoilt for choice. I personally love the ones that are a dramatic change in colour. For example, Love Me Crazy is the perfect light pink when hot and hot pink when cold. It's a Funny World, which is one of the easiest glitters I've applied, forms almost a "jelly sandwich" type effect.
